Taxi fares.

Transportation means:

Best mean to move around tne islad is by plain if you don't have much time to spend, wich, in fact the only fast transportation mean in the island. Thre's a wide domestic flights network and connections are hosted by Cuban air transport companies like Cubana de Aviacion and Aereocaribbean. Trains are a more economic mean to move around but also a slower one, in the other hand you can find exelent taxi service, car and motorcycle renting and tourist buses to take you to touristic places and main cities.

Roads:

50.000 kms of pavement roads and ways connects all cities and touristic centers.

Buses:

Buses from companies like Transtur, Viazul and Trasgaviota are available for transportation all over the country, these are modern and confortable buses.

Trains:

There's special compartiments for tourists on Cuban trains.

Air transportation:

There's 10 international airports and 5 domestic and charters small airports in the country, some companies offers charter flight to get to the most remote areas of Cuba.

Taxis:

There's two taxy modalities in Cuba, private and official, private taxis are usually cheaper than official and they don't have a fixxed rate per se, you can always negotiate prices with private taxies. Official taxy operates with fixxed fares, they count with a taximeter but for long distance transportation you can always negotiate a fixed price. both have to be paid in CUC.

Driving in Cuba:

You must be 21 years old and have a valid drivers license issued at least one year before. There're a few companies where you can rent a car.
